The 2019–2021 Genesis G70 responds well to airflow improvements, especially at the front of the car. That is why we designed the PLUGNPLAYCUSTOMS Intake Stealth Shrouds specifically for these model years.

Many Genesis G70 owners want the open mesh look on the front bumper, but the factory sensors sit behind a solid grille. Once you open that area, the sensors lose their support and no longer stay in the correct position. We built the new PLUGNPLAYCUSTOMS Open Mesh Sensor Brackets to solve this problem.

These brackets hold the factory sensors in the right location while you run a clean open mesh style. You keep the front of the car open and aggressive, and you keep the function of the OEM sensors at the same time.

Each bracket mounts to existing points on the bumper and uses the factory sensor clips. There is no cutting or trimming on the bumper itself. The brackets match the factory angle so the sensors read the road just like they do in the stock grille.

New G70 Bumper Repair Options | PLUGNPLAYCUSTOMS Bumper Guide and Tab Fix

Why We Created the Genesis G70 AGS/AAF Delete Kit | Solving the U1008 Code for Intake Shroud Installs

We built the PLUGNPLAYCUSTOMS AGS/AAF Delete Kit for the 2019 and newer Genesis G70 after running into a common problem. While testing our upcoming intake shrouds, the car triggered a check engine light with code U1008 every time we disconnected the factory active grille shutters.

The G70 uses two systems at the front of the car: the Active Grille Shutters (AGS) and Active Air Flaps (AAF). These parts open and close to control airflow and cooling. They work well on a stock setup, but they limit airflow when installing performance upgrades like intakes or intercoolers.

When we unplugged the factory motors, the ECU lost communication and threw the U1008 fault. To solve this, we created the PLUGNPLAYCUSTOMS AGS/AAF Delete Kit. It keeps the original factory module connected and sends the same signal the flaps normally provide. This setup prevents warning lights and keeps the ECU fully satisfied.

Installing the kit takes only a few minutes. Mount the OEM module inside our housing, connect it to the factory plug, and secure the harness. You do not need to cut or modify any wires. Once installed, the car runs clean with no fault codes or check engine light.

Got My Headlight Replaced Under Warranty and Found Out Genesis Quietly Updated the Design

I recently noticed moisture starting to build up inside one of my Genesis G70 headlights. At first it just looked like normal fog, but after a few days it wouldn’t clear up. Since the car is still under warranty, I decided to take it in to get checked. The service department confirmed the housing had a small leak and replaced the entire headlight under warranty.

From the outside, the new headlight looks identical to the original one. Same finish, same shape, same part number on the lens. But while I was upgrading my DRLs to the new Purple DRLs from PLUGNPLAYCUSTOMS, I got curious and decided to take a closer look inside the new housing. That’s when I noticed Genesis actually updated the desiccant pack design.

The desiccant pack is that small moisture absorber that twists out from the back of the headlight. It’s easy to miss unless you’re looking for it. The new one uses a different layout and material that’s designed to absorb more humidity and keep condensation from forming inside the housing.

It’s one of those quiet improvements you’d never notice unless you were swapping parts like I was. If you ever see moisture in your headlights, it’s worth having them checked under warranty.
