Install information
- Estimated install time: about 20 to 40 minutes.
- Difficulty: Easy for most owners.
- Thoroughly wash and degrease the trunk surface, test fit the spoiler, then peel the tape backing and press the spoiler into place using firm, even pressure.
- For best results, install in a dry environment and avoid washing the car or exposing it to heavy rain or high pressure washes for at least 24 to 48 hours so the adhesive can fully cure.
Usage notes
This trunk lip spoiler is built as a visual and light aero style upgrade for the Genesis G70. It is not a track wing and does not require chassis reinforcement. Because it relies on adhesive, proper surface preparation and cure time make a big difference in how well it stays attached over time.
Trunk spoiler questions
Do I need to drill holes in the trunk?
No. The spoiler uses automotive grade double sided tape for mounting. You do not have to drill the trunk for a standard install.
Can I remove the spoiler later?
Yes. You can carefully heat the tape and use plastic tools or fishing line to separate the spoiler from the trunk. Any leftover adhesive can be removed with proper adhesive remover and polish.
Can I paint or wrap the spoiler?
In many cases you can paint or wrap the spoiler if you follow proper prep steps for the material. If you plan to refinish it, test on a small area or talk to your paint or wrap shop first.
Will this affect my trunk opening or closing?
No. The spoiler mounts on top of the trunk lid and does not interfere with the hinges, latch or seal when installed correctly.
